O the 2nd of April 2015 Mr. D.V.Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Mr. S.S.Sobyanin, the Mair of Moscow paid a working visit to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Endocrine Plant".
During the visit it was noted that FSUE Moscow Endocrine Plant is a good example thatdomestic pharmaceutical industry is capable of producing the medical products of the highest quality and meeting the needs for medications for thecitizens of Russia: the plant product “portfolio” contains 81 medical products, 60 items of which are in the list of vital and essential drugs (VED).
Company’sproduction is delivered to all regions of the Russian Federation. As for the group of centrally acting analgesics the plant is the definitive leader in the Russian market of medicinal products with 81% share in money terms and 72% in real terms. The Company is involved in the implementation of thegovernmental taskto increase upto 90% by 2018 ofthe total domestic production of medicines according to the VED nomenclature.
According to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, D.V. Manturov,19 sectoral plans on import substitution in the industry developed by Russian Industry and Trade Ministry include more than 2000 projects and deal with about 800 kinds of products subject to import substitution in the next four and a half years, and to achieve these goals in the pharmaceutical industry 6.5-7 billionrubles of investments both budgetary and personal will beinvested in the development of all enterprises of Moscow Endocrine Plantin the next few years.
In order to implement the state policy of import substitution in the pharmaceutical industry the plant has been conducting its own program on development and introduction of new medicinal products. A part of them are taken into account in 19 government-approved plans on import substitution within the pharmaceutical industry.
The Company is successfully growing at its sole discretion and by means of borrowed funds. With the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Tradeit has been decided to build on Volzhskiy city territory inVolgograd region a large branch, the products of which will be directed on the replacement of imported medicinal products. The project has investments for about $3 billionrubles.
The new enterpriseintends to produce 14 active pharmaceutical ingredients for further synthesis of 20 types of dosage forms, almost all of which are among the list of essential drugs. By 2018 the production of the branch will allow ensuring the independence of domestic pharmaceutical industry from similar foreign components for three-quarters (70%). Moreover, the plant will be able to export a part of its production.
The Mayor of Moscow, S.S.Sobyanin said,in his turn, that the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Moscow Endocrine Plantis one of the major pharmaceutical industries in the city. “Two-thirds of Russian-wide anesthetics areproduced in Moscow, and this is one of the key enterprises in this direction,”– the Mayor of Moscowsaid.Today the capital pharmaceutical companies meetasignificant portion of needs of the Russian citizens in high-quality and affordable medicines of mass segment, including many life-saving drugs.
In addition, Moscow government has been working with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in terms of the formation of strategic directions in the field of import substitution of specific products and specific investment projects. “Today together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade we haveworked out 11 such areas and prepared 37 investment projects totaling to about 40 billion rubles. Of course, some of them will be separatedand formatted in a new way, but we are moving fast enough, providing appropriate technological platforms, territories, communications, and tax support for these enterprises”, - S. S.Sobyaninnoted.

SobyaninFSUE Moscow Endocrine Plant has already been visited by the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, I.N.Kagramanyan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation S.A. Cyb, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in Moscow Government on economic policy and property and land relations, N.A. Sergunina, the Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship in Moscow, O.E.Bocharov, the prefect of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, V.B.Zotov.
