On April, 11, the Counsellor of the Director, D.I. Cherkasov and the Deputy Head of the Department Responsible for Legislative Execution in the Sphere of Narcotic Products and Psychotropic Substances Circulation, M.N. Maklova, took part in a round-table meeting on the issue: “Problems of distribution of narcotic and potent medicinal substances in veterinary, particularly, in using them in wild and zoo animals”, that was held as part of the program of IInd All-Russian Convention of Russian Zoos and Aquariums (SOZAR).
Representatives of FSUE Moscow Endocrine Plant informed zoo specialists and veterinarians about plans of the Enterprise on the development and implementation into production of own domestic line of narcotic medicinal products for veterinary use, and about readiness to register and import the foreign high-efficiency veterinary narcotic products for the needs of zoos and seaquarium upon the request of the veterinary community.
In course of the discussion separate aspects of a problem were also deliberated associated with the narcotic analgesics unregistered in Russia for delivery of veterinary aid to both zoo and wild animals in native habitat.
The speech of the Enterprise's representatives was welcomed by round-table representatives with the great interest and readiness to continue the cooperation in a sphere of promotion of pain relief in veterinary.
