FSUE Moscow Endocrine Plant, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia of the Russian Federation, took part in the events of the 63rd session of the UN Commission for Narcotic Drugs, which was held on March 2-6, 2020 in Vienna, Austria (hereinafter - the Event).
Supporting trends in strengthening of the existing international drug control system in compliance with the three UN anti-drug conventions, as well as taking into account the need to increase the availability of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical use, representatives of the Enterprise as part of the Russian delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Federations O.V. Syromolotov took part in negotiations with the Chairman of the International Narcotics Control Board (hereinafter - INCB) C. de Joncheere.
At the exhibition, as part of the Event, FSUE Moscow Endocrine Plant, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, presented the exposition “Expanding of the range of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical use in the Russian Federation and the dynamics of their availability. No leakage into illegal circulation”.
The topic of the availability of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical and scientific purposes with the prevention of deviations from their declared use was one of the key topics at plenary and additional meetings of the event.
The Deputy Director of the Department for New Threats and Challenges of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.A. Rogov made a report on the results of the activities of the Russian Federation and international cooperation on ensuring of availability of controlled substances to patients in the context of palliative care, as well as on the results of the INCN-training held in the Russian Federation in December 2019.
“On the sidelines” of the event, representatives of the Enterprise met with interested members of foreign delegations, executive authorities of the Russian Federation, former INCB chairman Vira Sumyai on consolidation of joint efforts of legislative and executive authorities, pharmaceutical manufacturers and public organizations in order to ensure international standards of availability of narcotic analgesics for medical use and prevention of their leakage into illegal circulation.
