On October 13-15, 2021, the third Eurasian Women's Forum was held in St. Petersburg, bringing together women: representatives of legislative and executive authorities, including vice-premiers and ministers, representatives of the business community, the scientific community and public organizations, authoritative figures of the international women's movement, from more than from 100 countries of the world. The theme was “Women: a global mission in a new reality.”
The Eurasian Women's Forum, created on the initiative of Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, is one of the largest international platforms for discussing the role of women in the modern world and developing common approaches to solving global problems, discussing topical socio-economic and humanitarian issues. The Forum is organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The working group of the Eurasian Women's Forum, led by Galina Karelova, the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council, contributed to the creation of women's councils at a number of ministries, as well as stimulated the development and implementation of 12 international projects dedicated to empowering and expanding the role of women in politics, economics, global health strategy, environmental security, science, high-tech areas, including the digital economy, promotion of charitable and humanitarian projects.
FSUE “Moscow Endocrine Plant” was represented at the third Eurasian Women's Forum as part of the session “Women in Pharmaceuticals: Together for a Healthy World” by Ekaterina Baranova, the Deputy General Director for Legal Affairs, Anastasia Ovchinnikova, the Deputy Director for Quality, and Yulia Kovylyayeva, the Deputy Head of the Production and Technology Department. The session participants discussed the role of women in the pharmaceutical community in the development, research and organization of drug production.
919 women are employed in the structure of Endopharm, which is more than 60% of the total number of employees. There are 56% of women in the management of Endopharm, who head such strategically important areas as production, product quality assurance and control, scientific development, introduction and registration of medicines, procurement, financial and legal units.
The representatives of Endopharm made presentations on the role of women in the production and business processes of the Moscow Endocrine Plant to ensure the uninterrupted production of vital and essential medicines and medical devices in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, on labor dynasties at the Enterprise and on employee support measures that allow ensuring a balance between professional development and private life.
