A working meeting was held between Mikhail Fonarev, CEO of the FSUE Endopharm, and Alexander Bogomaz, Governor of the Bryansk Region, with the participation of Valentin Subbota, Chairman of the Bryansk Regional Duma, and Andrei Dyachuk, Chief Federal Inspector for the Bryansk Region of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District.
The participants discussed specific issues of cooperation between the regional administration and the Enterprise for the implementation of a large-scale investment project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the FSUE Endopharm in the Bryansk region. Thus, the investment project is aimed at ensuring the country's drug safety for a number of vital and socially significant drugs by organizing their full-cycle production. The agenda included the most important topics for the economy of the region and the successful implementation of the investment project on the development of the infrastructure of the Pochepsky district, cooperation in the field of education, social aspects, in particular, the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs in the Bryansk branches of the Enterprise.
In the Pochep branch, the Enterprise organizes modern high-tech large-scale production of at least 60 domestic active pharmaceutical substances obtained by chemical or biotechnological synthesis, as well as from animal and vegetable raw materials. The investments will amount to about 30 billion rubles.
“By August the 1st, we expect a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza in relation to the project documentation. After that, we immediately begin selecting contractors for construction and installation works and equipment supplies,” Mikhail Fonarev reported to the Governor of the Bryansk Region.
The objective of the ENDOPHARM Agro branch is the cultivation of authorized varieties of opium poppy with specified characteristics, allowing it to be used both for obtaining strategically important pharmaceutical substances and to meet the demand for food quality poppy.
The high qualification and experience of breeders and agronomists of the branch allows to ensure the specified indicators of germination and density of poppy crops and, as a result, consistently high yields for the second year in a row.
It should be noted that the management and security service of the ENDOPHARM Agro branch have organized work to comply with all the requirements established by law for the cultivation of opium poppy and the prevention of the “leakage” of narcotics into illegal circulation.
